Mercedes-Benz Korea has donated 150 million won ($133,000) to 50 promising young athletes in the country as part of its social responsibility program called Give ‘N Dream in partnership with social welfare organization Kids & Future Foundation.

Give ‘N Dream is a scholarship program that launched last year that provides financial support to underprivileged young sports stars in Korea.

Candidates for the program includes elementary, middle and high school students from underprivileged backgrounds who show talent in football, baseball, taekwondo and badminton, among other sports. Each student will receive a maximum 3 million won a year.

“We are happy to support promising sports talents to make their dreams come true with the ‘Mercedes-Benz GIVE’ program,” said Thomas Klein, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea and chairman of the automaker's CSR committee.
