2021.7.22 Hotel Events
Through Aug. 31: JW Marriott Hotel Seoul presents Bali in the City, a summer package featuring a surprise transformation created for guests unable to vacation abroad this year due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.
The seasonal package includes accommodation in a hotel room beautifully decorated to evoke a Balinese mood, plus welcome amenities of popular Indonesian snacks, two cans of Balinese beer, and a gift of two natural soaps by neBali Soap, featuring natural ingredients sourced from fruits, flowers and plants in Bali. Guests choosing suite accommodation, in addition to welcome amenities, are offered a sarong and bandana set, regularly priced at 57,000 won ($49.60), made by leading Korean batik brand Halobali and crafted from unique Indonesian batik techniques and materials, one 30 milliliter bottle of Baliflora perfume by Italian niche brand Laboratorio Olfattivo, featuring the iconic Indonesian flower frangipani, and a Radiance trial sample kit by luxury skincare brand Clé de Peau Beauté, designed to relieve skin dehydrated by the heat of summer.
Until Aug. 15, second-floor buffet restaurant Flavors will serve a Taste of Paradise menu featuring classic dishes from Indonesia, including Nasi Goreng, Satay Lilit and Ayam Blora, conjuring the ambience of a local Balinese resort dining experience. During the promotion, in-house guests and buffet restaurant guests with children will be offered coloring paper and a crayon set featuring images of a map of Indonesia and local animals, helping kids to learn more about Southeast Asia’s country while also having fun. The swimming pool in the hotel’s fitness center will feature a photo wall with a huge print of the St. Regis Bali hotel and near-life-sized model animals, evoking the feel of Indonesia.
This summer’s promotion is JW Marriott Hotel Seoul’s second overseas transformation. Last year, the hotel reinvented itself in the spirit of Thailand. JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa ran for a two-month period from October with the Enjoy Khao Lak in Seoul package receiving a sensational response. Building on this success, JW Marriott Hotel Seoul has created another unique experience for guests seeking a taste of overseas travel in a luxury urban hotel by transforming into one of Indonesia’s best-loved destinations. The Bali in the City package is priced from 289,000 won for a Deluxe Room and from 439,000 won for a Griffin Suite, excluding tax or service charge.
InterContinental Seoul COEX
Through Aug. 31: InterContinental Seoul COEX unveils its plan to offer “YumYum Summer with Shake Shack Package,” a pairing menu exclusively available for InterContinental hotel guests, in collaboration with Shake Shack, a burger restaurant from New York.
This package deal offers the “InterContinental Pairing Menu,” which is available for the first time at Shake Shack's COEX store, newly opened within the COEX complex on July 9. This package deal for guests can be enjoyed at the store or as a take-out option. Normally available at 33,000 won, the InterContinental Pairing Menu is prepared for two and includes two Shake Shack burgers, one serving of French fries, a cup for soft drinks, a milkshake, and a COEX-exclusive Over the Rainbow Concrete (dessert).
"Shake Shack, which recently opened its third store in Gangnam at COEX, following its Gangnam and Cheongdam stores, is a brand popular among trend-savvy young customers and those who desire fine dining experiences. As our hotel is committed to continuously introducing new room deals for millennials and Gen Z, I thought the brand was a good match for us,” said InterContinental Seoul COEX’s product manager who created this product. “We hope you'll come and try the special pairing menu created by Shake Shack, which normally sells single items only, for InterContinental Seoul COEX guests for the first time.”
For guests availing of the package deal, two movie tickets that can be used at Megabox COEX, which is directly connected to the hotel’s underground floor, are also included.
All package deal guests can access the conveniently designed indoor swimming pool with no additional charge and can enjoy a pleasant, relaxing time at the outdoor deck on the third floor with a panoramic view of Bongeun Temple. Reservations are available via phone or online from July 16, and prices start from 185,000 won per night including tax and service charge for Superior Rooms.
Through Aug. 31: Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas presents the Signature Handcraft Beer Combo as this summer’s to-go product at Grand Deli, located on the first floor. The hotel’s Signature Handcraft Beer Combo with a refreshing and cooling flavor that offers reprieve from the summer heat includes two cans of “Art Pale Ale,” assorted cold cuts prepared by hotel chefs, cheese, and mini pretzels and is packed in a hotel-branded cooler bag. “Art Pale Ale” is a fragrant ale full of citrus aromas with orange and grapefruit, and it has been instantly poured into and sealed in a specially made aluminum can. The cooler bag made by the hotel is a portable size broadly useful during the summer season, especially for outdoor camping and picnics. The Signature Handcraft Beer To-go is available until the end of August at 33,000 won, including tax.
