A case involving actor Lee Kyu-han was recently forwarded to the prosecution, according to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station on Monday.

Lee was accused of assaulting a man in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, in Aug. 2020.

“The investigation took a long time since there is no security camera footage of the incident and both sides are asserting completely different claims,” said a police official. “We currently cannot confirm the exact charges and specific details of the incident.”

Lee denies the battery charges.

“I swear on my life that I did not commit physical or verbal assault,” he wrote on his Instagram on Monday. “The incident from Aug. 2020 is still tormenting me.”

"I am currently not under any agency and have been suffering from panic attacks due to this issue, so I have been unable to respond to reporters," he continued. "I am very sorry about that. I will get cleared of suspicion as soon as possible and get healthy again, then share everything about what happened."

Lee debuted in 1998 and is best known for his roles in the television series “My Lovely Sam-soon” (2005) and film “Mapado 2: Back to the Island" (2007).
