After ruling Democratic Party (DP) presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung said during a campaign rally on Saturday, “If I lose in the presidential election, I could be put behind bars,” the justice minister and the prosecutor general worry about their own futures given the suspicious way they behaved during the Moon Jae-in administration. Lee seems to criticize the prosecution’s tendency to “concoct charges” for presidential candidates after their defeats in elections. But he himself has a criminal record and suspicion is growing over his involvement in the Daejang-dong development scandal.
