Building materials company LX Hausys participated in The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2022, showcasing its engineered stone and imitation marble for U.S. customers.

The trade show kicked off at Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, and is set to run through Thursday.

LX Hausys showcased two new types of Viatera engineered stone at the event. Engineered stone is made by binding crushed quartz and looks similar to marble.

The stones have the Calacatta pattern — veining patterns often seen in marble — that come in two colors. The Viatera Calacatta Marina has a light navy vein pattern and Viatera Calacatta Verde's comes in a shade of green.

The company said it released the two new colors because consumers in North America like to decorate their homes in colors that resemble nature, such as navy and green.

Seven varieties of Himacs imitation marble — faux marble made of methal methacrylate — was also introduced.

The company plans to expand its business in the United States through the trade show. In 2020, it built a third engineered stone production plant in Georgia, ramping up production capacity. It currently is the second largest company in North America's imitation marble market, with a market share of 20 percent. It comes fourth in the engineered stone market, with a 10 percent market share.

"We hope to promote the unique designs and high quality of LX Hausys products through the trade show and enhance local marketing strategies to secure our lead in the North American market," said a spokesperson for LX Hausys.
