Singer, actor and TV personality Lee Seung-gi tested positive for Covid-19, according to Hook Entertainment on Tuesday night.

The agency said that Lee tested positive after a self-Covid test that he took before attending a photoshoot for an advertisement. He subsequently canceled all his activities and took a PCR test at a nearby hospital which also came out positive.

Lee has been vaccinated three times and is currently in quarantine awaiting further directions from local health authorities.

Lee posted on his Instagram story Tuesday night, assuring his fans that he is okay.

“I just have symptoms of a regular cold so don’t worry too much. I’ll be back after a quick recovery. Thank you,” read his post on Instagram.

Lee debuted as a singer in 2004 with his album “Dream of a Moth” and released a series of hit ballads including “Because You’re My Woman” (2007), “Will You Marry Me” and “Return” (2012). He expanded his career by acting on hit television series including “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho” (2010) on SBS, “The King 2 Hearts” (2012) on MBC,“Vagabond” (2019) on SBS and “Mouse” (2021) on tvN. Lee also appeared on the KBS variety show “1 Night 2 Days” from Nov. 2007 to Feb. 2012. He is currently the host of JTBC's "Sing Again 2."
