Local streaming service’s series 'Yonder' to be made available through Paramount+

Local streaming service’s original drama series “Yonder” (translated) will be made available in over 90 different regions through Paramount+, according to Tving on Wednesday.
 
Tving announced that it will will co-invest in the production of “Yonder” with ViacomCBS. ViacomCBS is a major media group that operates the OTT platform Paramount+.  
 
The series will be available in countries such as Canada, Australia, Britain, France and Germany through Paramount+ and in Korea through Tving.  
 
“Yonder” is directed by renowned Korean director Lee Joon-ik. Some of his works include movies “King and the Clown” (2005), “Sunny” (2011), “The Throne” (2015) and “Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet” (2016).
 
“Yonder” will be Lee’s first OTT content and also his first drama series.  
 
The series is about a man who receives a message from his dead wife which reads that he can see her again at a space called “Yonder.” Set in the year 2032 where deceased people are able to live on with past memories that have been saved through a technology called “brain upload,” the series tackles themes of life, death and eternal happiness of mankind amid rapid scientific progress.  
 
Actors Shin Ha-kyun, Han Ji-min, Lee Jeong-eun and Jeong Jin-yeong will be starring in the upcoming series. The exact date of the release has not yet been revealed by Tving. 
 
Tving is a local online streaming service operated by a joint venture of CJ E&M, Naver and JTBC. The platform streams various dramas, variety programs and films. It also produces original content such as drama series “Work Later, Drink Now” and entertainment program “Seoul Check-in.”
