Jin sun-kyu, Jun Jong-seo cast as leads in upcoming Tving original series

Actors Jin sun-kyu and Jun Jong-seo will star in the upcoming Tving original series “Bargain.”

“Jin and Jun’s casting has been finalized and we’ll soon begin shooting,” Tving said Thursday.

Based on a short film with the same title released in 2015, the film’s narrative centers around a middle-aged man and a teenage girl who are in a motel room discussing the price the girl will charge the man to have sex with her when suddenly a massive earthquake hits.

Director Lee Chung-hyun of the Netflix film “The Call” took the helm of the original short film, which won multiple awards including the 40,000 Blows Award for Best Action-Thriller Film at the 15th Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival, one of the most prestigious short film festivals in Korea.

Director Jeon Woo-seong will take the helm of the Tving series.

Jin will take on the role of Noh-hyung-soo, the middle-aged man, and Jun as Park Ju-young, the young girl.

The series will be released exclusively on the streaming platform later this year.
