Other EVs that were evaluated included the Tesla Model Y, Mercedes-Benz EQB and Polestar2.
The Korean EVs received the most points overall. The Polestar 2 came in third place while Tesla Model Y ranked fourth.
The Korean EVs received the highest scores in driving comfort and ranked second in the driving dynamics and environment and cost categories.
Ioniq 5 scored especially high in the ergonomic design, noise and comfort categories. It also received high scores in terms of safety and quality.
EV 6, which ranked second after Ioniq 5, received the most points in the power train and range categories.
The magazine called the EV6 the most customer friendly vehicle, while noting that the EV has the fastest charging, going from 10 percent to 80 percent in 20 minutes.
Ioniq 5 was named the "Best Import Cars of the year" by Germany's Auto Bild in January.
The vehicle was also named as the Car of the Year and Mid-size Company car of the Year by the British Auto Express last year and received recognition as a Premium EV and received a Design Award from British Auto Express.
