Giants focus on small ball with new lineup, revamped stadium

The Lotte Giants have been busy this offseason and the club is very clearly positioning itself to play to its strengths with some small-ball baseball this season.
As well as opting for speed and versatility in new signee DJ Peters and swapping out old sluggers for fresh legs, the Busan club has even got so far as to alter Sajik Baseball Stadium to make it harder to hit home runs.
Alongside Peters, the Giants have also brought in new pitchers Charles Barnes and Glenn Sparkman.
But while the Giants might be focusing on pitching and station-to-station baseball in the long term, one old slugger still remains — veteran infielder and franchise star Lee Dae-ho will hang up hit bat at the end of this season after 21 years of professional baseball.
