Although the Democratic Party (DP) threatened not to endorse the nomination of Han Duck-soo as prime minister in President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol’s administration if Yoon persists with his appointments of Han Dong-hoon as justice minister and Chung Ho-young as health minister, Yoon’s transition committee is sticking to the original plan. Justice minister nominee Han Dong-hoon was methodically purged by the DP when he was a senior prosecutor under then prosecutor-general Yoon Suk-yeol.
