MBC's ongoing drama series "Tomorrow" (2022) is facing backlash after the personal information of BTS members was used in a scene in which it featured on a "death roll."

In the seventh episode, which aired on April 22, grim reapers fill out “The Book of the Deceased.” One scene shows a grim reaper writing beneath the name Kim Tae-hyung — BTS-member V’s actual name — which appears beside his real birthday, Dec. 30.

Another name listed on the death roll had the same birthday as Jung Kook, Sept. 1, 1997.

The causes of death for both were stated as “murder.”

The production crew told local news outlets that it was merely a coincidence, and that the birthdays were “simply a combination of numbers” and “there was no other intention.”

On the official website of “Tomorrow,” online users demanded that MBC delete the scene and issue an apology. On another online community site, users criticized the production crew for “using a living person’s name on a death roll,” and claimed “the screenwriter must hate BTS.”

“Tomorrow” stars actors Kim Hee-seon, Rowoon of boy band SF9, Lee Soo-hyuk, Kim Hae-sook and Yun Ji-on. The show is available on Netflix.
