Ken Rhee, a Korean YouTuber and former Korean Navy special forces officer who went to Ukraine in March to fight Russia, arrived back in Korea on Friday morning.

It has been three months since Rhee left the country, despite the Korean government’s travel ban to Ukraine. By law, anyone who disobeys a government travel ban can be sentenced to up to a year in prison or face a fine of up to 10 million won ($8,290).

According to local news outlets, Rhee departed from Warsaw, Poland on Thursday evening and arrived at Terminal 1 of the Incheon International Airport around 7:30 a.m., wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and brown pants.

A police investigator was sent to the airport to check Rhee’s injuries, which were the reported reason for his return, and measures were taken immediately to forbid him from leaving the country.

A schedule for Rhee’s interrogation will be decided after considering his treatment and condition of his health.

Earlier this week, Rhee said on his social media that he “hopes to return to Ukraine if the Korean government permits.”

Rhee was once one of the most sought-after TV personalities after his appearance on the YouTube reality series “Fake Men.” However, his popularity didn't last long after he faced accusations of sexual harassment in 2020.
