Wemade to release its new mobile game Mir M on June 23 [WEMADE]

Wemade will launch its new mobile game Mir M: Vanguard and Vagabond in Korea on June 23, the company said Tuesday.

Mir M is the latest edition of the Mir Massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) franchise and one of the biggest titles to come from the company this year.

The game provides similar action and battle features, but also focuses on the growth of each character’s skillsets, according to Wemade.

“We will focus on the finishing touches to perfect the game until the day we start the official service,” said Chang Hyun-guk, the CEO of Wemade, in a press release.

The game will be launched globally by the end of this year.

Similar to the Mir 4 game released last August, Mir M will use blockchain technology to provide a play to earn (P2E) feature where players get to earn items during their gameplay and make money by selling them using the company’s cryptocurrency Wemix.

Mir 4 is available in the P2E format worldwide except for Korea and China where it’s illegal to cash in-game items for real money.

Wemade will introduce an upgraded version of its Wemix blockchain service in a showcase on June 15.
