Paris Croissant has purchased Lina's, a French sandwich chain, for an undisclosed amount.

The company said Tuesday that SPC Euro, its 100-percent-owned French subsidiary, acquired Lina’s Développement, which owns Lina's.

Paris Croissant has been running the Lina’s chain in Korea since 2002 through a master franchise agreement, but will now own the brand. In a master franchise deal, one company operates all of a brand's outlets in a given region.

Following the acquisition, Paris Croissant will open more Lina’s branches in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. Lina's currently has branches in France, Korea, Colombia and Lebanon.

Lina’s sandwiches and some of its products will be available at brands run by Paris Croissant, such as Paris Baguette and the Paris Croissant bakery.

The company also expects to enhance its food line-up by developing new bread and salad menu items with the expertise of Lina's.

Paris Croissant runs Lina's branches in Korea, including restaurants in Gwanghwamun in central Seoul and Yeouido and Seodaemun in western Seoul.

Currently, Lina's has 11 locations in France.
