Huons focuses on health-functional food, devices
Huons Group is focusing on health-functional foods and medical devices as a core part of its blueprint for future growth.
Both the health-functional food and medical device sectors showed rapid development during the second half of 2021, highlighting the importance of the business as an area of future growth.
Huons has gone through a period of restructuring to better align the corporate entities with that new goal.
Huons and Huons Foodience take the lead in the health-functional foods segment.
Huons launched Huons Foodience in January by merging Huons Nature and Huons Natural to better meet consumer needs.
Huons has succeeded in commercializing health supplement Elruby Menolacto Probiotics. Utilizing Lactobacillus acidophilus YT1 as the core ingredient, the health supplement helps improve menopausal symptoms including hot flushes and headaches.
In addition, Huons wishes to expand into men’s prostate health. It plans to begin the commercial production of plum, orchid, chrysanthemum and bamboo powders that can help prostate health.
Huons Foodience is striving to stay competitive in the original equipment manufacturing and original design manufacturing market with the company’s brand Inner Set at the lead.
Inner Set’s advantages are its trendy products and affordable prices. Other efforts include enforcing the company’s direct to consumer business to enhance the communication between potential users.
When it comes to the medical device business, Huons launched Huons Meditech by merging Huons Medicare and Huons Medical. Huons Meditech focuses on sanitary supplies and beauty devices.
The main sterilization product created by Huons Meditech is Huen IVH ER, a Korean-made sterilizer that uses independent technology for sanitation.
The exclusive air cushion technology within the Huen IVH ER atomizes liquid sterilant at a high temperature and pressure, then eradicates pathogenic organisms via thermal vapor.
With more people taking off their masks as rules relax, Huon Meditech sees a clear increase in interest in aesthetic treatments. Along with the international popularity of K-beauty, many hospitals are seeking to develop devices relevant to the field.
Derma Shine PRO is in the lead with the device’s third improved addition. It is an instrument used to inject medicine and equipment without contacting the human body directly.
Moreover, Huons Group launched HuM&C to focus on the healthcare subsidiary materials business. The company’s initials, M and C, stand for material and cosmetic, respectively. The name was selected to show the business expansion intentions of Huons.
“By taking a step further into business and marketing reinforcements, we will continue to gain competitiveness within the market,” an official at HuM&C said. “Our strategies for total healthcare subsidiary material businesses will not only play a supporting role in the contract development and manufacturing original equipment manufacturing and original design manufacturing fields, but will also be Huons’ motivation for future development.”
