Volkswagen Group Korea named Christian Schlick as the new head of its Bentley brand, the Korean unit of the German carmaker said Monday.

The term will begin on Aug 1.

Schlick joined Bentley in 2015, serving as the area sales manager for Germany. Since November 2018, Schlick has been responsible for leading the luxury brand’s operations in Russia and Eastern European countries including Turkey, Israel, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Armenia.

"Schlick brings extensive knowledge and experience from various luxury premium markets," said Till Scheer, managing director of Volkswagen Group Korea. "I expect the Bentley team in Korea to enhance the ownership experience for our Bentley customers and further strengthen its presence in the luxury segment, one of Korea's fastest-growing segments."

Warren Clarke, the current director of Bentley's Korea region, will return to his home country, Britain.
