Through Dec.31: Tamayura, the luxury Japanese dining destination at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, in Seocho District, southern Seoul, presents a trio of new Japanese-style breakfast dishes crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients.
Abalone Ozen is a rice porridge dish made with three carefully selected abalone from the waters off Wando Island, each cooked in one of Tamayura’s own original styles. Jeju Tilefish Jiri Ozen is a clear soup-based dish of lightly-steamed freshly-caught white tilefish and seasonal vegetables in a deeply-flavored broth made with slow-cooked tilefish head and bones. Jeju Grilled Seaperch Ozen features local Jeju blackthroat seaperch carefully grilled until crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a selection of seasonal vegetables and side dishes.
Other breakfast menu highlights include appetizers of Kyuko (egg castella), Chicken Terrine, authentic Fish Cakes, and Shiitake Mushrooms and Seasonal Vegetables dressed in Sesame Sauce. Jeju Tilefish Jiri Ozen and Jeju Grilled Seaperch Ozen are served with Yamiso Siru (Japanese-style miso soup) and steamed Hitomebore, celebrated as one of Japan’s finest rice varieties.
Served in set-table style, Tamayura breakfast dishes are available from 7 a.m to 10 a.m. on weekdays, by advance reservation only, in one of Tamayura’s seven private dining rooms. Abalone Ozen is priced at 95,000 won (about $76), Jeju Tilefish Jiri Ozen at 90,000 won and Jeju Grilled Seaperch Ozen at 90,000 won, including tax and service charge. Grand Josun Jeju
Through Nov. 30: Grand Josun Jeju, a luxurious resort hotel brand by the Josun Hotels and Resorts at Seogwipo-si, Jeju Island, released its “Autumn Voyage” package allowing guests to fully enjoy the beautiful Jeju Island this autumn with their special ones.
The package is comprised of various benefits and attempts to capture every romantic moment in Grand Josun Jeju while guaranteeing a private space for rest and relaxation.
A one-night stay in a balcony room and breakfasts for two per night at Aria are included so that guests can enjoy a variety of menus to start a day with while overlooking the beautiful autumn scene of the Oreum Garden.
To make the trip more special, Gran JOE, the activity team of Grand Josun Jeju, will take couple photos in the Oreum Garden and many other iconic spots throughout the hotel. The photoshoot will be up to 30 minutes and available once during the stay. All guests joining the activity will receive photos in a frame. This benefit can be replaced with a three-hour voucher for a cabana at the Garden Pool, if requested.
As an additional benefit of the package, “Eat2O Pool Side Set” is included and guests can choose one dish from EAT2O’s signature menu which includes Bacon Cheeseburger and French Fries, Pizza and Mount Halla-themed fried rice as well as a chilled beverage.
For guests staying for more than two nights, a “Josun Deli Sweet Gift Set” will be provided to help guests relish the tastes of autumn. The set is offered once during the stay and is composed of 4 pieces of madeleine, financier and six pieces of macaron as well as a to-go Vivente coffee, the signature coffee bean of Josun Hotel.
To celebrate the launch of this autumn package, guests purchasing the package until July 31, will receive a perfume set from Ex Nihilo, a French niche perfume brand. It will be given to the first 100 rooms.
This package runs from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30. Prices start at 410,000 won per night inclusive of tax.
Moreover, with the fresh autumn breeze, there will be a special event dubbed, “Autumn Melody” every Friday and Saturday for five weeks starting from the third week of September. Many musicians will impress audiences on stage in the outdoor Oreum Garden.
Audiences may appreciate music performances at the Oreum Garden on-site or on their own terrace.
