Typhoon Hinnamnor is expected to land in Korea along the southern coastal area in South Gyeongsang on Tuesday morning, according to Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) Friday.

This is the first time that the KMA projected Hinnamnor will actually land in the country.

“The current situation shows that the typhoon landing in Korea is inevitable,” the KMA said.

The typhoon is anticipated to be a “strong” typhoon, the third-highest of the agency’s four categories, with central pressure measuring 950hPa and gusts blowing up to 43 meters per second at its center.
