Companies brace for impact of Typhoon Hinnamnor

Ships are moved to a port in Yeosu on Monday. [NEWS1]

Companies are revisiting facilities and placing emergency teams to immediately respond to the effects of Typhoon Hinnamnor.  
 
Shipbuilding companies, which are to be directly affected by the typhoon, are swiftly dealing with the situation by creating response teams and moving their ships to safer areas.
 
Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) moved nine of its ships to the Yellow Sea starting Friday and will close on Tuesday morning.
 
Both the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and Samsung Heavy Industries moved their ships to out to sea.  
 
Automakers are also moving their automobiles from their factories set to be hit by the typhoon. Hyundai Motor transported its 5,000 manufactured cars from its factory in Ulsan to safer areas.
 
Samsung Electronics has notified its employees to work from home on Tuesday.
 
“We have stopped all ongoing constructions at sites and have done special checkups on other facilities,” said a spokesperson for Samsung Electronics.
