TvN apologized after being accused of using plagiarism for a poster of its new series "Little Women."

"The concept of the poster was the three sisters walking toward the light with their shadows behind them," said tvN in a statement on Monday. "We relayed this to the company in charge of designing posters that then went over a series of samples before picking one.

"In the future, we will be more thorough in our prior research and pay closer attention to small details."

Last week, a poster for tvN drama series "Little Women" came under fire as people online pointed out that it closely resembled a 2016 ad for a Japanese cosmetics brand Shseido. The two posters share simillar color schemes and structure.

"Little Women" is about three sisters who become embroiled in a major incident and face off against the wealthiest family in the nation.

The series stars actor Kim Go-eun as the eldest sister, Nam Ji-hyun as the middle sister and Park Ji-hoo as the youngest sister.

It premiered on Sept. 3, and two episodes of the 12-episode series have aired so far.
