Endeavor Content changed its name to Fifth Season, CJ ENM said Thursday.

"The name comes from how, in the past, late summer was nicknamed the fifth season in celebration of the harvest because it's the richest time of the year," CJ ENM said in a press release. "It shows our aim to present richer and fresher content to the world."

Last year, CJ ENM made its largest investment ever, purchasing 80 percent of the “scripted business” of Endeavor, a Beverly Hills, California production company best known for distributing hits like “La La Land (2016).” The remaining 20 percent is held by Endeavor Group Holdings.

The company produces over 30 films and dramas a year, including the latest hit Apple TV+ series "Severance," and distributes them to some of the biggest channels around the world.

Fifth Season will start creating CJ ENM content in the United States using its studios around the world, including in Europe and the South Americas.

It will engage in 10 collaboration projects this year with CJ ENM's production subsidiary Studio Dragon. The two companies will either adapt Endeavor’s English films into Korean or vice versa, or co-develop new content together.
