Steve Chung, the first global chief growth officer (CGO) at CJ ENM [CJ ENM]
CJ ENM appointed Steve Chung as the first global chief growth officer (CGO) to lead the company's global strategies, the company said Thursday.
Chung served as the chief growth officer at Fox Corporation prior to joining CJ ENM. He worked as a venture capitalist at Silicon Valley and founded a San Francisco-based media tech company Frankly Media in 2013.
“We welcome Steve Chung as the management leader of CJ ENM, which aims to mark itself down as a global entertainment company in the international stage,” the company said in a press release.
The CGO position has been newly established to accelerate CJ ENM’s global expansion amid the growing demand for Korean content in overseas markets. The company bought the scripted business at Endeavor Content last January and signed a partnership agreement with ViacomCBS last year.
