Four out of ten restaurants to open for entirety of Chuseok holidays

Four out of ten restaurants will be opened during the four-day Chuseok harvest festival holiday in Korea, according to Baedal Minjok (Baemin) Thursday.

Some 43.6 percent of 2,842 restaurant owners who participated in a survey conducted from Aug. 23 to Sept. 7 on the Baemin website, said they will open their stores for the entire holiday.

Thirty-five-point-seven percent responded they will close their restaurants only on Chuseok day, which falls on Sept. 10, while 20.6 percent said they will shut during the whole holiday period from Sept. 9 to Sept. 12.
