Rookie actor Lee Chae-min is set to host KBS's weekly music show "Music Bank" for the first time on Friday, according to his agency Gold Medalist on Tuesday.

"I still cannot believe that I've become an MC of 'Music Bank,'" said Lee through a press release by his agency. "I will do my best to do well by all those who work hard for each performance. I will prepare well and try to be a fun host."

He added that he is also preparing for a special performance which will be revealed on Friday's "Music Bank" episode.

"Please look forward to it as well."

Lee debuted as an actor last year through a supporting role in the tvN series "High Class." He then starred as a lead in the KBS drama "Going to You at a Speed of 493km" which aired from April to June this year.

Lee is also currently a student at Korea National University of Arts.

Lee will be hosting the weekly music show with girl group IVE member Jang Won-young. Jang has been hosting the show since October 2021 with boy band Enhypen member Sunghoon.

Earlier this month, Sunghoon announced that he will be stepping down from his role as host of "Music Bank."

Since then he has been preparing for his band's first world tour "Enhypen World Tour 'Manifesto'" which kicked off on Sept. 17 in Seoul. The tour continues to the United States and Japan throughout November.
