Blackpink to host ‘pink carpet’ event for concert film in Seoul

Girl group Blackpink will hold a “pink carpet" event on Aug. 9 for its upcoming concert film "Blackpink World Tour ‘Born Pink’ In Cinemas.”

The event will take place a day after the girl group’s eighth debut anniversary at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo District, western Seoul.

Blackpink will appear on a pink carpet instead of the usual red carpet for film events and meet with fans, the girl group’s agency, YG Entertainment, said Friday in a press release.

This will be the first time in 11 months that all four members — Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa — have appeared together in public since the finale concert of the "Born Pink" world tour last September.

The concert film “Blackpink World Tour ‘Born Pink’ In Cinemas” — set for release on Wednesday exclusively at CGV theaters — features footage from the finale of the "Born Pink" world tour, held on Sept. 16 and 17 last year at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, western Seoul. The film will be released in 110 countries, including Korea, the United States and Britain.

Blackpink Weverse membership subscribers, moviegoers to the concert film and participants in CGV's Instagram event are eligible to attend. Detailed information on how to apply for the event can be found on Blackpink Weverse and CGV's website and social media.
