Popular beauty YouTuber and model Ha Neul said Wednesday that she has begun legal action in relation to hate comments that have snowballed since her wedding last week.

Ha has faced allegations of school bullying and admitted to gapjil, or power abuse, when accusations surfaced online from employees of an online shopping mall that she founded, in 2020.

The wave of hate comments began after Ha's wedding on Oct. 23, which was attended by a slew of celebrities including actor Go Joon-hee, boy band Super Junior members Kim Hee-chul and Kyuhyun and singer Soyou and Kim Jong-kook.

Some netizens viewed the celebrities' attendance at the wedding as inappropriate because of Ha's past issues, and took to their phones to leave hateful remarks on the YouTube star's social media.

"I've been under a lot of stress these days," she wrote on her Instagram story. "I am currently taking strong measures against those who committed malicious slander, spread false information, personal attacks and defamation against me."

She also posted a screen capture of text messages with her lawyer.

Ha's Instagram has since been turned to private mode.

She has 1.3 million Instagram followers. Her YouTube channel has some 640,000 subscribers.

Ha has kept her new husband's identity anonymous, covering his face from all her YouTube videos and Instagram posts. He is only described as a businessman.
