Exo's Chen to release third mini album 'Last Scene' today

Chen of boy band Exo will release his third mini album “Last Scene” at 6 p.m. on Monday, along with a music video for the title song of the same name.

The title song “Last Scene” is a ballad that incorporates a piano melody with string music. The music video for the song will showcase emotional directing of the feeling of loss after breaking up with a lover, according to Chen’s agency SM Entertainment, and will feature actor Park Hae-soo, best known for the Netflix hit “Squid Game” (2021).

The mini album will also include songs “I Don’t Even Mind,” written by Chen himself, and “Photography,” “Traveler,” “Reminisce” and “Your Shelter.”

Chen is scheduled to perform a countdown live through YouTube and TikTok starting at 5 p.m. Monday.

The release of “Last Scene” was postponed from early November after the Itaewon crowd crush.

Chen debuted as a member of Exo in 2012. The band is best known for hits “Growl” (2013), “Overdose” (2014), “Love Me Right” (2015) and “Love Shot” (2018). The band’s latest album, “Don’t Fight the Feeling” (2021), topped the iTunes Top Albums charts in 85 regions.

In 2020, Chen got married and became a father to a baby girl. Early this year, his family welcomed their second child.
