Mother and daughter found dead in Seodaemun District

A mother and daughter were found dead in their home in Seodaemun District, western Seoul, according to the Seodaemun Police Precinct on Friday.

The two were found dead on Wednesday when the police went to the site after receiving a call from their landlord.

Overdue gas bills for five months and a letter from the landlord requesting they vacate the premises due to overdue rent were found stuck on their house door, the police said.

No signs of a crime were found at the site.

It has been reported that the mother and daughter owed 10 months of back rent.

Police are further investigating the exact time and cause of their deaths.
