Dozens of emergency responders have been dispatched to Yonsei University after a bomb threat was called into police.

Some 20 Police officers, including personnel from its special operations unit and 33 firefighters, were dispatched to Yonsei University in Seodaemun District, western Seoul.

No bomb was detected or found after a two-hour-long search of four buildings under the College of Engineering.

More than hundreds of Yonsei University students were evacuated during the search.

The police on Wednesday at 11:38 p.m. received a report of the online bomb threat.

An hour before the report was made, a bomb threat saying, “I sent a bomb in a thermos by parcel to a professor who pissed me off,” was posted on the college students’ online community called Everytime.

The police are tracking down the user who made the bomb threat.

Back in June 2017, a Yonsei University graduate student left a nail bomb at a professor’s office, saying he did it because he was humiliated by the professor.

The professor sustained injury and first and second-degree burns.
