Broadcaster and pundit Kim Eo-jun announced Monday that he will leave TBS Radio’s “Kim Eo-jun’s News Factory,” which has been on air for the past six years.

Kim made the announcement during Monday’s episode of the show, saying “We will proceed with News Factory for three more weeks.”

“I’ve been broadcasting this show for six years, two months and 15 days,” said Kim. “In three more weeks, the show will close at the end of the year. I will discuss the reasons for this at a later time.”

Kim hinted that he had wanted to continue the show for another “20 years” but that he would “save that story for later.”

Kim has been hosting “Kim Eo-jun’s News Factory” since September 2016. The program has kept its No. 1 spot on TBS Radio’s ratings but has been continuously embroiled in controversies and accusations of political bias.

The Seoul Metropolitan Council passed an ordinance last month to halt budget support for TBS. The council has criticized many of the programs on TBS including “News Factory” of being too partisan.
