LG Energy Solution to invest 4 trillion won in its Ochang plant

LG Energy Solution will invest 4 trillion won ($3.1 billion) by the end of 2026 to expand the capacity of its battery plant in Ochang, North Chungcheong.  

 
The money will be used in expanding the production capacity of the cylindrical batteries in the Ochang plant, the battery maker said Monday.  
 
New innovative technologies such as smart factory will also be applied.
 
A total of 1,800 employees will be newly hired.
