Arrest warrant issued for man suspected of murdering taxi driver

An arrest warrant was issued for a man suspected of murdering a taxi driver and then hiding his body in a closet. The man also admitted to murdering his ex-girlfriend.
The Uijeongbu District Court issued an arrest warrant for the 32-year-old Wednesday, citing the possibility of the suspect destroying evidence or fleeing.
The man is accused of murdering the taxi driver on Dec. 20 after the pair got into a car accident at around 11 p.m.
He is alleged to have told the taxi driver that he would compensate him if he did not call the police but told him he must come to his home to collect the money.
According to the suspect, the pair got into an argument at his home, he killed the taxi driver and then hid him in a closet.
The man also admitted on Tuesday that he killed an ex-girlfriend whom he used to live with. Police started a search of river banks in Paju on Wednesday, which is where the man claims to have dumped the body of the woman in her 50s.
The police will decide whether or not to disclose the man’s identity on Thursday.
