Running in the new year

Runners take part in the 2022 Daejeon Bare Body Marathon at Daejeon Expo Science Park in Daejeon on Sunday. The annual event, which has been canceled for the last two years due to Covid-19, began in 2016 as a unique way to ring in the new year. The marathon, which is actually only 7-kilometers long, begins at 11:11 a.m. Despite the name, nobody in the Bare Body Marathon actually has an entirely bare body, with male participants going topless and female participants wearing sleeveless tops.
