Tving's latest action thriller "Island" landed in ninth spot on Amazon Prime's list of most-popular television shows, inching up from the 10th spot a week ago.

The list was revealed on content tracker FlixPatrol on Sunday.

Last week, "Island" became the first Korean content to land on Amazon's TV Shows Top 10 list. The ninth spot and the two consecutive weeks on the list mark another record for the Tving original.

The first two episodes of “Island” were released on Tving and Amazon Prime Video on Dec. 30. The series is a fantasy action drama about a group of people who fight against evil on Jeju Island and is based on a popular webtoon series of the same name from Naver Webtoon.

The webtoon was drawn and storied by authors Youn In-wan and Yang Kyung-il, who are well-known among webtoon readers for their prowess in the Korean-horror fantasy genre.

Cha Eun-woo plays Yohan, a Vatican priest, while Kim Nam-gil plays Ban, a half-human, half-demon character who does not age or die. Lee Da-hee plays Won Mi-ho, an heiress and a teacher.

The third and fourth episodes were released on Jan. 6. The next two episodes will air on Jan. 13 at noon.
