A war of interpretation continues in the Democratic Party (DP) over exactly what was meant by former president Moon Jae-in when he met DP officials in his house in South Gyeongsang. After former National Intelligence Service (NIS) chief Park Jie-won said his former boss underscored the need for “unity of the party” due to “a lack of alternatives to DP Chair Lee,” a DP lawmaker said that Moon encouraged the party to reinvent itself.
