Veteran pop singer Cho Yong-pil to release EP 'Road to 20-Prelude 2'

Veteran pop singer Cho Yong-pil will drop EP “Road to 20-Prelude 2” on Wednesday, prior to the release of his 20th full-length album later this year, announced agency YPC and Universal Music Korea on Wednesday.  
 
“'Road to 20-Prelude 2,' as shown in the album name, is [Cho’s] second journey to the 20th full-length album planned for release later this year,” explained Cho’s agency YPC in a press release.  
 
The EP will include two new tracks, “Feeling Of You,” “La” and two tracks from “Prelude 1” — “Moment” and “Like Serengeti.”  
 
All four tracks have been written lyricist Kim Eana, known for writing multiple hit tracks, including girl group IVE’s latest lead track “I AM” (2023), “Ring X Ring” (2023) by girl group Billlie, “Good Day” (2010), “The red shoes” (2013) by singer IU and more.  
 
Cho will also hold “2023 Cho Yong-pil & the Great Birth” concert at the Olympic Stadium, Songpa District, southern Seoul on May 13 followed by a performance in Daegu Stadium, Daegu on May 27.  
 
Cho, commonly known as the king of Korean pop, debuted in 1968 and is known for countless hit tracks, “Come Back to Busan Harbor” (1976), “Can’t find the oriole” (1982), “Let’s go on a vacation” (1985) “Leopard of Kilimanjaro” (1985) and many more.
