Boy band Enhypen sold 1.32 million copies of its latest album "Dark Blood" during the first week of its release, besting its own record set with its previous album.

"Dark Blood," which was released on May 22, sold 1,322,516 copies from May 22 to 28, according to the band's agency Belift Lab.

The band's previous album "Minfesto : Day 1," released last July, sold 1.24 million copies within the first week of its release, which was a record for the group at the time.

Over 1.1 million copies of "Dark Blood" were sold on the day of its release alone, giving Enhypen its third million-seller album just two and a half years after its debut.

The album ranked No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 30 regions around the world, including Japan, Indonesia, France and Mexico on the day of its release.

Lead song “Bite Me" is a pop track that talks about a boy who realizes that he and his significant other is linked by destiny. Members of the boy band explained that it “signifies the strong bond between Enhypen and Engene.”

Engene is the name of the boy band’s fan club.

Enhypen debuted in November 2020 under Belift Lab, a subsidiary of HYBE. The band was formed in September of the same year through cable network Mnet and HYBE’s audition show “I-LAND” (2020).

The seven members of the band are: Sunoo, Jake, Jay, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jungwon and Ni-ki. The band's most popular tracks include “Drunk-Dazed,” “Fever” from EP “Border: Carnival” (2021), “Given-Taken” from EP “Border: Day 1” (2020) and “Polaroid Love” from repackaged full-length album “Dimension: Answer” (2022).
