An attack that backfired
The crisis of the Democratic Party (DP) is deepened as Rep. Kwon Chil-seung, a senior spokesperson of the party, attacked the former captain of the corvette Cheonan for “killing all the sailors under his command,” even though the sinking of the warship was caused by a North Korean torpedo attack. Earlier, the newly appointed chairman of the innovation committee of the party resigned just nine hours after his appointment after it turned out that he attributed the sinking of the warship to “the hegemonic forces in the United States.” [PARK YONG-SEOK]
