'The Roundup: No Way Out' surpasses 7 million in ticket sales

“The Roundup: No Way Out,” the third film of "The Roundup" series, surpassed 7 million in ticket sales on the 11th day after its box office release on Saturday, becoming the most popular domestic film to be released this year.

"The Roundup: No Way Out" was released on May 31 following “The Outlaws” (2017) and “The Roundup" (2022).

Ticket sales are already higher than the total number of tickets sold by "The Outlaws," which was 6.88 million. The previous film took 14 days to surpass 7 million tickets and closed its record at 12.69 million tickets sold in total, with "No Way Out" cutting the record short by three days.

The latest film takes up 50 percent of all cinema reservations as of Sunday afternoon.

“The Roundup: No Way Out” tells the story of “monster cop” Ma Suk-do, played by Don Lee, who chases two villains involved in an international drug ring. The film has been anticipated to revitalize the domestic film scene that has been struggling since earlier this year.
