U.S. Ambassador to Korea Philip Goldberg posted his meeting with former President Lee Myung-bak on Twitter on Wednesday.

The American ambassador thanked the former president for his continuous support of the alliance between Korea and the U.S.

Goldberg is the first U.S. government official that President Lee has met since his release from prison after being pardoned by President Yoon Suk Yeol in December of last year.

Lee isn’t the only former president that the U.S. envoy has met lately.

On Sunday, Goldberg met with President Moon Jae-in at his residence in Pyeongsan-ri in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang.

The meeting was posted on President Moon’s Twitter account, where he said they discussed the future of the alliance.

Goldberg also visited Moon’s bookstore where they exchanged books.

Goldberg presented Moon with Ansel Adams’ “In the National Parks,” while President Moon gave Goldberg his autobiography.
