Five Guys, one of the top three American burger chains, will open its second location at The Hyundai Seoul department Store in Yeouido, western Seoul, following the success of its Gangnam branch.

Set to open in October, the new branch will be located on the underground first floor of The Hyundai Seoul's food section, covering an area of 297 square meters and offering seating for up to 100 patrons. The interior design will feature the signature red and white checkered pattern.

As part of its customer-focused approach, Five Guys will continue its tradition of providing complimentary peanuts and drink refills to all visitors.

"The opening of a second branch happened earlier than planned due to overwhelming support," FG Korea, the restaurant's operator in Korea, said Wednesday. "[In Yeouido,] we expect to attract nearby office workers seeking a satisfying lunch break during weekdays, while weekends will likely draw customers looking for a leisurely experience by the Han River and nearby shopping facilities."

Since its inauguration in June, the Five Guys Gangnam branch is currently leading sales among all Asia-Pacific locations, according to FG Korea. Additionally, it has achieved a spot in the global top five for opening week sales, alongside outlets in Paris, France, and London, Britain.

Five Guys aims to establish over 15 locations in Korea throughout the next five years.
