Tomorrow X Together will perform at the upcoming 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs) on Sept. 12, becoming the fastest K-pop group to take the stage of the U.S. music awards ceremony.

MTV VMAs made the announcement on Thursday that the boy band will be performing alongside Doja Cat, Lil Wayne, Anitta, Kelsea Ballerini and more during the upcoming ceremony set to take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Tomorrow X Together will perform "a new song" during the event, which will be a completely new track the band hasn't released, according to its agency BigHit Music.

It will also be putting on a collaboration stage with Anitta as "the first K-pop band to perform a genre-blending collaboration on the show," Billboard said.

Tomorrow X Together has been nominated for two categories: Best K-pop and PUSH Performance of the Year, both for "Sugar Rush Ride."

Blackpink is also running for four awards for the girl group's song "Pink Venom" (2022): Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing and Best K-Pop.

The band will take the VMA stage in four years and six months after its debut in March 2019, the fastest ever for any act. Tomorrow X Together debuted in March 2019 under Bighit Music, a subsidiary of HYBE, as a five-member band. Its members include Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai.

Boy band Tomorrow X Together will return with its third full-length album "The Name Chapter: Freefall" on Oct. 13.
