Sour fruits, sweet vegetables

As Koreans prepare for this year’s Chuseok harvest festival later this month, fruits became more expensive while vegetables became cheaper compared to the year before. According to the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, the wholesale prices of apples and pears increased 60.9 percent and 26.9 percent, while prices for cabbages and white radishes each fell 51 and 29.7 percent.
