KT will work together with Singapore's postal service SingPost in a move to propel the telecom carrier's AI-powered digital logistics business.

Through the collaboration, the two companies will start a pilot program for digital logistics transportation in seven Singaporean districts using KT’s AI delivery system Lisfo, short for Logistics Intelligence Suite for Fleet Optimization.

SingPost runs logistic centers that cover hundreds of clients to deliver their cargo in a timely manner. Through the partnership, SingPost will utilize KT’s AI solution to come up with optimized delivery routes and receive information, such as traffic and vehicle arrivals and departures, based on real time data.

Based on data provided by SingPost, KT predicts that Lisfo will reduce its road mileage by 27 percent and the number of vehicles by 15 percent.

SingPost aims to transition to digital logistics through the KT partnership due to increasing competitiveness in e-commerce sectors.
