The OUL Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in Jongno District, central Seoul, is collaborating with Spanish artist Eva Armisén, throughout September.

Isla Rebujito cocktail (27,000 won or $20), made with Korean liquor from Jeju Island, lemon and lime soda, peach, bokbunja (black raspberries) and lemon, is a playful take on the Spanish cocktail Rebujito and was made in the inspiration of Armisén’s support for hanyeo (female divers) from Jeju.

Sangria Flor cocktail (27,000 won), made with Korean red wine, cider, green plum, chrysanthemum honey and orange juice is inspired by Armisén's collaborative works with the hotel themed on the “Four Seasons.”

The collaborative pieces are showcased at the OUL Bar and the lobby. The artist took inspiration from Korean jangdokdae, large ceramic jars used to ferment kimchi and various jang or sauces, and painted her signature rosy-cheeked faces on the jars. She joined hands with Tokyo-based Danish flower artist Nicolai Bergmann to create the luscious flower arrangement inside the jangdokdae.

Armisén described the seasonal paintings as an expression of “feeling at home thousands of kilometers away and experiencing winter, spring, autumn and summer as a reference for the known in the unknown” through the hotel's press release on Sept. 5.

“I have been visiting Korea for 15 years and it has always been a source of inspiration for me. I have fallen in love with its culture and its people, and strangely I have felt at home. This collaboration reflects my stays here — different seasons and different situations that have helped me grow as an artist and as a person.”

The hotel will also launch a child-friendly package inspired by Armisén, starting Oct. 1 to Nov. 30.

Called the Dream in Color package, it includes an activity book to inspire young artists as well as a canvas bag and a fabric purse decorated with her artwork.

Other perks of the package include an in-room kids’ glamping tent setup; daily breakfast for up to two guests and children aged 6 years and under; a limited-edition Four Seasons Hotel Seoul carry-on bag; a bulldog plush toy; access to the Kids For All Seasons lounge; and even valet parking.

The hotel said that it will have events at its lounge for kids, including film screenings about Armisén and cookie decoration and coloring stations.

A portion of the collaboration's proceeds will be directed toward local community development, according to the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul.
