Hotel Shilla’s Danang resort won the title of “Asia’s Leading Lifestyle Resort” at the 2023 World Travel Awards which took place at Ho Chi Minh City, the company said on Wednesday.

The World Travel Awards, in its 30th year, is known as a prestigious event that annually rewards companies or organizations that have shown exceptional achievements in sectors in tourism, travel and aviation.

The Danang hotel — which opened in 2020 under the Shilla Monogram name — received the reward for high customer satisfaction for its services and outstanding ocean views from its rooms.

The variety of leisure activities the resort offers is benchmarked from The Shilla Jeju, which has run its recreation programs for 15 years. The hotel also runs its own set of programs only available in Vietnam, such as traditional craft making lessons, cooking classes and water sports.

The resort runs four private beaches and has the only heated pool in Danang that operates until nighttime, which is especially popular among tourists, the hotel said.

“We wanted our guests to leave our resort with memorable experiences through the best kind of facilities and services that we could offer,” said Shilla Monogram Danang’s manager Karim Meziane. “We will do our best so that every moment the guests spend at our hotel can be special.”

Hotel Shilla is an arm of Samsung’s hotel and duty-free business which operates The Shilla Seoul and The Shilla Jeju. It also runs 14 business hotels under the Shilla Stay name.
