DKB will sing a song for people with disabilities at the 43rd National Para Games in South Jeolla in November. The song will also be the theme song for the 104th Korean National Sports Festival in October.

The song, called "The Wave," will be about identity and competition and will showcase the unique energy of DKB, according to Brave Entertainment, the boy band's agency, in a press release.

It is the first time for a sports event, aside from the Olympics and the World Cup, to have its own theme song.

"Our goal is to deliver a message to the K-pop fandoms centered on the MZ generation as well as the global public that enjoys Korean culture," C-Post, a production in charge of the opening and closing ceremonies of this year's games, said.

The 43rd Para Games will be held around cities in South Jeolla between Nov. 3 to Nov. 8, while the 104th Korean National Sports Festival will be held between Oct. 13 to Oct. 19.

DKB debuted in February 2020 with the lead song "Sorry Mama" of the EP "Youth." The band has nine members: E-Chan, D1, Teo, GK, Heechan, Lune, Junseo, Yuku and Harry-June.
