Actor Yim Si-wan, aespa's Winter to sing theme song for World Team Table Tennis Championships

aespa's Winter and actor Yim Si-wan will be singing the official theme song for the World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024.
 
The recording of "Win For You" will be released Thursday at 6 p.m., according to the organizing committee of the table tennis championships on Wednesday.
 
The song is produced by Winter's agency, SM Entertainment.

"Win For You" combines classical, orchestral sounds and K-pop to create a grand, elegant song. It has also incorporated the ball bouncing sound in table tennis at the song's intro.
 
The lyrics depict a positive and healthy athlete mindset with phrases like "Let's overcome our hardships and go beyond our limits."
 
The song will be used for various PR events leading up to the World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024. It will also be played during the opening ceremony.

Following the song's release, Winter is set to be appointed as the promotional ambassador of the World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024, along with Yim, who has already been anointed in the position.
 
The championships will be held from Feb. 16 to 25 at Busan's Bexco. It will be the first time that the international event will be held in Korea.
 
Sixteen winners of the championships — eight men and eight women — will be eligible to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
 
Some 2,000 athletes from some 40 countries are expected to visit Busan during the championships.
