Girl group aespa will release its new English single "Better Things" on Aug. 17 at midnight, a year and two months after its first English song last year.
"Better Things" will be a "minimal up-tempo dance track with refreshing sounds fit for the summer," according to a press release by SM Entertainment. The song will focus on giving a positive message of cherishing what we have here and now, the agency added.
"Better Things" comes after "Life's Too Short," the band's first English single which was released on June 24, 2022.
aespa is currently on its "SYNK: HYPER LINE" tour that began last February in Seoul, followed by performances in Japan, Indonesia and Thailand. The quartet is set to put on two more concerts this weekend on Aug. 5 and 6 at the Tokyo Dome, becoming the fastest foreign act to take the venue.
The tour will continue in the United States later this month, starting in Los Angeles on Aug. 13 and seven other cities in the country, followed by stops in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Germany, the United Kingdom and France in September.
The girl group is also set to perform at the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on Aug. 11, becoming the first K-pop act to take part in the event.
